Clifton "Clif" Eugene Boyd Jr., 69 of McComb died September 12, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Boyd was born February 18, 1944 in McComb, MS. He was the son of the late Eugene C. Boyd and Lona Mae Stubbs Boyd.
Visitation will be Saturday morning at Centenary United Methodist Church in McComb from 9:30 AM until funeral service at 12 Noon. . Rev. Jim Porter and Rev. David Cumbest will officiate. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.
Mr. Boyd served our great country in the U.S. Army from 1936 to 1966. He was a truck driver for most of his employment years and retired from Buffalo Services. He spent the last several years driving a school bus for North Pike School District.
He was a longtime member of Centenary United Methodist Church where he had served as head usher for many years and was a member of the Methodist Men's Club.
Clif was also a 32 Degree Mason and member of Pine Lodge 383 in Enon. He was also a Shriner and member of the Scottish Rite in Jackson. Clif loved people and loved his family and church with all his heart. He brought a big smile to everyone he met and his hugs will truly be missed.
Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene C. Boyd and Lona Mae Stubbs Boyd; a son, David C. Boyd and one brother, Ronald Boyd.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Carolyn G. Boyd; three daughters, Patricia B. Fleming and husband, Kirby of McComb, Debbie B. McWilliams and husband, Terry of McComb and Tracie B. Humphries and husband Shane of Madison; two sisters, Ima Jean Dunaway and Nell Price both of McComb; grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob and Brent Fleming, Grant Whatley, Calan Price and Charlie McWilliams and Cameron and Fallon Humphries; stepchildren, Paula Rutland of DeQuincy, LA and Chris Mosbroke of McComb; stepgrandchildren, Jessica Rutland, Jennifer Rutland and Colton Rutland; stepgreat grandchildren, Landon and Logan Roberts and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Clif also leaves behind his beloved pet Sable.
Pallbearers will be Grant Whatley, Zachary Fleming, Jacob Fleming, Robby Rutland, Colton Rutland and Chris Mosbroke.
Honorary pallbearers will be special friends, Robert Burrows, Bill VanWagner and Roger Harvey.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to PALS or Centenary United Methodist Church Elevator Fund.
